Just 6km north of Melbourne’s Central Business District, Ascot Vale Leisure Centre is one of Australia’s leading public fitness and aquatic facilities, owned by the Moonee Valley City Council and operated by Belgravia Leisure. As a hub for community health and wellbeing, the centre prides itself on delivering inclusive, high-quality training environments for all ages and fitness levels.
The Challenge
As part of a planned refurbishment, the centre aimed to elevate the training experience within its functional training room. The goal was clear: deliver an environment that looked and felt premium while standing up to the intense daily use expected in a high-traffic facility.
The project involved upgrading 220 m² of flooring — a significant surface area requiring durability, acoustic performance, and visual appeal.
The Solution

Extreme S&S was installed across the strength and machine training areas. Its superior resistance to impacts and scratches makes it the perfect fit for high-intensity use, while its sound-reducing properties help keep the atmosphere comfortable and professional — even during peak hours.
A customised blue Turf Sprint, featuring inlaid training markings and the City of Moonee Valley logo. This solution combines functional performance with aesthetic branding — ideal for sled work, agility drills, and high-energy training.
The refurbished gym floor at Ascot Vale Leisure Centre now delivers a premium training experience for every visitor. The Extreme S&S has brought exceptional noise reduction, comfort underfoot and improved safety in the strength areas, while the custom Turf Sprint adds both visual identity and athletic functionality — becoming a standout feature of the gym.
